Launch of the Fungal Biodiversity Survey in the Nebrodi Park

On 5 June 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Palazzo Trabia in Santo Stefano di Camastra, the Nebrodi Park Authority will host a public event dedicated to the launch of the survey and monitoring activities on fungal biodiversity within the Park territory.

The initiative is part of the agreement signed between the Park Authority and ISPRA and marks the beginning of a structured process aimed at strengthening knowledge of the Park’s fungal diversity, providing a solid scientific basis to support conservation and territorial management.

During the event, the following aspects will be presented:

    • the objectives of the survey activities;
    • the methodological and operational framework adopted;
    • the first field activities initiated and the integration of collected data into the national information system.
