Mycological Meeting in Monte Romano (Viterbo, 14–16 November 2025)
The Municipality of Monte Romano (Viterbo) will host, at the Sala del Paesaggio Agrario, an event dedicated to the knowledge and conservation of fungal diversity, with a special focus on the mushroom Pleurotus eryngii — locally known as ferlengo or cardoncello — and its ecological relationship with the plant species Ferula communis and Eryngium campestre.
The programme includes public talks, an artistic, photographic and mycological exhibition with educational purposes, and guided field activities upon reservation.
The exhibition will feature artworks by Natasha Grillo and Valentina Spagnoli (painting section), and photographs by Koen B. Lucassen, Fabrizio Rocchetti, and Jessika K. Pinget B.

The initiative, promoted by Bioma, is organised in collaboration with the Network for the Study of Mycological Diversity (NDM) and under the patronage of the Municipality of Monte Romano.
