NMD Photo Contest: Celebrating Mycological Diversity

Thanks to the participation of enthusiasts and professionals, the NMD photo contest has received 34 images that showcase the beauty and importance of macrofungi in our ecosystem.

Objectives of the Contest

The contest was created to:

• • Promote awareness of mycological diversity.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of conserving fungi and their natural habitats.
  • Highlight photography as a tool for scientific outreach.

Next Steps

• • Evaluation: The ISPRA working group will review the photographs to select:
    • The image to be featured on the cover of the updated Guidelines.
    • Images to be used on the homepage and internal pages of the website.
  • Announcement of Results: The selected photos will be published on our official website.
