Fungi Information System

The Fungi Information System (SIF) is an open database that collects surveys and data submitted by contributors participating in the network. The interactive map viewer allows users to explore the locations of surveys recorded in the SIF, including field surveys, historical surveys, and data related to samples sent to the fungarium.

JoNeF project

The JoNeF Project (Joint Network for Wild Fungi) is an initiative promoted by ISPRA to advance the knowledge and conservation of macrofungi in Europe. Presented to the IMPEL network in November 2022, it was approved by the General Assembly on June 8, 2023, and officially launched in July 2023.

Fungaria, Genetic Sequencing, and Collaborations for Biodiversity

In this video, Alessandra Matteini, curator of the AGMT Herbarium, shares the work carried out in preserving over 14,000 fungal specimens and discusses the agreement between the AGMT Herbarium and ISPRA. This collaboration enables the genetic analysis of fungal specimens to enrich genetic databases and promote the knowledge and appreciation of fungal heritage.
