Aspromonte Ecological Day

The Aspromonte Mycological and Cultural Association (APS-ETS), affiliated with the Italian Mycological Association (AMB), is promoting and organizing the third edition of the “Aspromonte Ecological Day”, an active citizenship initiative dedicated to the protection and enhancement of forest ecosystems.

For this edition, the association has brought together a network of partners and supporters including the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, the Municipality of Reggio Calabria, the Italian Mycological Association (AMB), Discovery Avventure, Ndm, and Ecologia Oggi S.p.A., which will be responsible for the transport and proper disposal of the collected waste.

The event will take place on Sunday, 14 June, at 8:30 a.m. at Bivio Fragolara, in the Aspromonte area. Participants will take part in a clean-up activity aimed at removing illegally discarded waste from the forest, making a tangible contribution to the restoration and conservation of this valuable natural environment.

The initiative seeks not only to improve the environmental quality of the area, but also to raise awareness among citizens and visitors about the importance of protecting forest ecosystems and safeguarding biodiversity for future generations.
