JoNeF for the congress "Fungal Conservation in Europe: Evidence to Action"
From 14 to 17 April 2026, JoNeF participated in Uppsala (Sweden) in the international congress, dedicated to the role of fungi in European biodiversity conservation strategies. During the mission, a site visit to several natural areas and an operational project meeting also took place.

Launch of the Fungal Biodiversity Survey in the Nebrodi Park
Santo Stefano di Camastra, 5 June 2026
On 5 June 2026, in Santo Stefano di Camastra, the Nebrodi Park Authority will present the launch of the survey and monitoring activities on fungal biodiversity carried out in collaboration with ISPRA. The event will outline objectives, operational approaches and the first field activities initiated in the area.

New species for science at the ISPRA Fungarium
Coprinellus dilectissimus sp. nov. has been described: the isotype is preserved in the ISPRA Fungarium (IFI), confirming the role of the Ndm Network in research and in the conservation and valorisation of fungal biodiversity.

MEET-FUNGI: free field excursions and laboratories in Valle Camonica
Starting from 31 January, in Valle Camonica (Lombardy, Italy), the activities of the MEET-FUNGI project begin: free mycological field excursions and outreach laboratories open to the public. Discover the programme and take part in the activities.

Update of the Fungi Information System (SIF)
The Fungi Information System (SIF) has been updated with two key improvements: clear distinction between field and archive records for better usability; highlighting of records with deposited samples in the fungarium.
